fostering a love and desire for music. . .
The Knights of Music Foundation is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization, founded in September 2003 to foster a love and desire for music in all youth living in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. The foundation provides a real "hands-on" opportunity to learn a musical instrument and to participate in live performances.
The goals of our organization are to introduce music literacy to children in public schools that do not provide instrumental music as part of their curriculum, and to increase the number of children playing musical instruments in the Los Angeles Unified School District's public elementary schools.

In September 2003, I set up the Knights of Music Foundation, Inc to foster the love and desire of young adults to appreciate and participate in music activities.
Over the past 50 years, I have been involved in music as an artist, performer and instructor. Music has been a valuable part of my life and it is my desire to share that with as many people as I can. I founded the Knights of Music Foundation, Inc. whose sole purpose is to promote the value of music education and participation to the community at large. Through innovation and creative music programs is our desire to promote the appreciation of all musical genres.
Benjamin Franklin, one of the great founders of the United States, once noted: "Man is driven by passionate self-interests, but moderates them with his intellect and innate sympathy for others." I endorse his perception.
We continue to look for community partners who will assist as we develop quality music programs in our communities.

OUR VISION
The Knights of Music Foundation seeks to build a feeling of community amongst our students and families. That sense of community carries through to our teachers, our board and our relationships with community partners and sponsors. We want to help our students to learn to collaborate with one another in classes, orchestras and within their own families. Through learning to play an instrument we want our students to learn to take responsibility for their own growth and development. As they develop, they realize their responsibility to lend a hand and "give back" to their community. Our students to become functional and responsible members of society.
In an effort to continue our efforts in instrument instructions for at least 21 weeks of the year, a large portion (70% ) of our budget relies on financial support for teachers and additional instruments. DONATE
